Forgive my ignorance on the question but is there a big difference on signal performance mounting on the wall vs the ceiling.
I got two ac pros in a 3000 sq ft home one inside a cabinet on a shelf on the main floor facing upwards and the other in the basement laying on top of a wall mount network rack facing upwards.
I guess this depends somewhat on the directionality if any of the radio.
So if i were to place one on a ceiling i d want it near the center of the area i want to cover this is not necessarily the center of the entire area facing down.

All of the aps will be in storage closets on the front side of the building mounted to the outer wall so that they are pointing.
As regards mounting aps on the ceiling or wall i m planning to relocate 2 aps ac pro and ac hd from sitting on the top of furniture to either the ceiling or the wall on the first floor of a 2 story house and i need signal to the 2nd story as well.
